Some of the services offered by Fast Pass were impacted by the new DVSA rules which came into force in May 2026. This article covers the changes in detail.
On 27 April 2026, a new UK law came into force restricting the booking and management of driving tests to learners themselves. On 12 May 2026, the DVSA website was updated to reflect the new rules.
To remain compliant with UK law, we can no longer offer our cancellation finding service to learners. We apologise if this is disappointing news to you. This includes searching, reserving and booking slots on behalf of candidates. All learners must now search and book manually on the DVSA website. No third party apps or booking sites can offer these services legitimately under these new booking rules.
Fortunately, in anticipation of these changes, we've launched a new swap service that matches learners holding existing bookings with others looking for a better slot. Thanks to our existing user base, thousands of slots are already up for swap. Just enter your current booking details and we'll instantly show you matching slots at your chosen test centres. This service is not impacted by the new rules, since we do not interact with the DVSA on your behalf. We simply match you with other candidates and guide you along the process of performing the swap with the DVSA - something you now need to do yourself.

Existing bookings will not be impacted, as they were made before the changes in legislation were put into force. Users can still contact us for a refund for cancelled bookings (subject to our refund policy).

You can view available matches instantly. Whilst there is usually always something available, if there are no matches, we recommend checking every couple of days as new swap requests appear frequently.
We take your privacy seriously – we are GDPR compliant and will never sell your data. More specifically, we will never use your licence number to make unauthorised bookings, like many other services do.
